How can I submit materials to the Digital Content Library?
Before submitting any materials, especially videos, please check to make sure the asset is not already available in the DCL, from the University Libraries, or other online sources.
Our policy is to accept materials for processing from legally acquired content, preferably from University of Minnesota collections. Commercially available materials should be purchased by the department or individual whenever possible. We reserve the right to make the decision on what materials will be digitized in order to protect the copyright on the content.
Is your content your own work? Are you interested in sharing it beyond University access? Consider including your content in one of our Open Collections. It will then become available through the OpenDCL, our widely accessible portal to open content in the DCL.
CLA users: To add your materials, please download and fill out a DCL Order Form (PDF), and bring the materials to Heller Hall 470 for processing. If you are submitting materials via campus mail, send it to 338 Heller.
All other users: Please call us at 612-624-2064 or email us at email@example.com for more information.
In addition to maintaining the DCL, LATIS Digital Imaging Services provides digitizing and imaging equipment and software in a lab environment, and staff services to the College of Liberal Arts. We have capabilities for 35mm slide scanning and flatbed scanning, and VHS and DVD conversion. In our Advanced Imaging Service for Objects and Spaces (AISOS) lab we offer various methods of 3D scanning and modeling, 3D printing, high-magnification 2D imaging, and Augmented and Virtual Reality exploration. We can offer multiple levels of support, from self-service to full-service, depending on the needs of the project.
